Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Kelly is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Kelly works as a research assistant for Aerodigestive Research Core, while also completing her undergraduate thesis about dysphagia in the cardiac ICU under Dr. Plowman’s mentorship.
After graduating in May 2020, Kelly plans to attend graduate school for a Masters in Speech-Language Pathology. She aspires to work with neurodegenerative patients in a clinic or veteran’s affairs medical center. Kelly is grateful for the practical opportunities she receives at ARC.
In her free time, Kelly enjoys biking around Gainesville, working out, and trying out local coffee shops.
